The North Shore Beach Campground is the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Cooloola Coast on Noosa’s North Shore, a truly special part of Australia.

Nestled in the pristine bushland of the Great Sandy National Park and adjacent to the sweeping surf beaches of Laguna Bay, North Shore Beach Campground provides a variety of options for nature enthusiasts, surfers, anglers, and outdoor lovers.

It is also a handy stopover for four-wheel-drive aficionados journeying along the beach between Noosa and Fraser Island.

Situated on a beachfront location along the magnificent Cooloola Coast, which extends from Noosa Heads to Double Island Point, and then onto Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island.

To access Noosa North Shore, take the vehicle ferry from Moorindil Street, Tewantin. The Noosa North Shore Ferries operate from early morning until late at night, with extended hours on weekends.

For 4WD vehicles, beach access is available just a short distance north of the campground entrance.

North Shore Beach Campground Accommodation

Select from a range of powered and unpowered sites, including beachfront, open area, and bush locations. There are eleven beachfront sites offering unobstructed ocean views. However, please note that there are no waterfront sites at Noosa North Shore Beach Campground.

  • No through traffic
  • Accessible by 2-wheel drive
  • Alternatively, take the 4-wheel drive along the beach to Double Island Point
  • Opportunities for fishing, bushwalking, and surfing
  • Onsite toilet, shower, and limited laundry facilities

The beach, accessible by 4WD (access is less than 1km north of the park entrance), stretches from the Noosa River mouth to Double Island Point. The camping spot is also accessible by 2WD vehicles.

Popular activities include fishing, beach and bush walking, surfing, and exploring the Coloured Sands. However, please note that the beach is not patrolled.

The Noosa North Shore Beachfront Campground is spacious enough for you to choose your own site. A limited number of powered sites are suitable for caravans.

Wildlife, including native kangaroos, goannas, and birds, frequently visit the campground and adjacent reserve; therefore, pets are not permitted.

Noosa North Shore Beachfront Campground is a beachfront caravan park and campground located on the stunning Cooloola Coast. A short car ferry ride across the Noosa River takes you to a campground with a wilderness atmosphere, perfect for families, groups of friends, retirees, and anglers. Reservations are required.
